Walls of Sound (Wednesday 4-6pm)
WHERE IS ‘HOME’?
HOW DID YOU COME TO BE LIVING IN THIS AREA?
Attracted by the verdancy of the area which equates to GREEN in every sense of the word.
WHAT DOES YOUR PROGRAM OFFER TO LISTENERS?
The words that come to mind when I describe Walls of Sound are contemporary, brash, in-your-face and aural onslaught. The first hour is predominantly new indie and alternative rock with a smattering of other genres such as electronic/dance, psych-rock, with an occasional dash of noise. After the current affairs program The Wire goes to air, I return at 5:30 PM to play half an hour of recently released Australian sounds.
WHY DID YOU GET INVOLVED IN TRIPLE B?
Having grown up listening to radio from a very early age, it is virtually embedded in my genes. It was a natural progression therefore to get involved with 2 Triple B after retiring and moving to Bellingen.
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU’RE NOT ON-AIR AT TRIPLE B?
Being on the Board of 2 Triple B takes up a lot of my spare time. Other than that, I put in the hard yards growing organic vegetables and maintaining a smallish block of land. Suffice to say, I also listen to a lot of music.
IF YOU WERE TO STAGE YOUR OWN FESTIVAL IN BELLO, AND COULD HAVE ANY THREE HEADLINE ACTS WHO WOULD THEY BE?
War on Drugs (USA), Savages (UK) and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever (Aus)
