Radio on Toast (Friday 7-9am) 2 Heavy 4 Brekkie (Friday 8-10pm)
WHERE IS HOME?
HOW DID YOU COME TO BE LIVING IN THIS AREA?
Discovered Bellingen and 2 Triple B in the late 90s after a previous incarnation in Sydney workiing in the music industry (publicity and promotions). I’d relocated from Canada in the early 80s.
WHAT DOES YOUR PROGRAM OFFER TO LISTENERS?
Mostly rock, but many other genres like metal, alternative, folk and pop from the last five decades can all feature on Friday Breakfast. On Friday nights it’s the harder edge in 2 Heavy 4 Brekkie from 8pm.
WHY DID YOU GET INVOLVED IN TRIPLE B?
I’ve had a lifelong passion for music.
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU’RE NOT ON AIR AT TRIPLE B?
Spent the last couple of decades single parenting two awesome kids, caring for my late parents and helping to manage the radio station. In these days of battling insomnia, depression and climate change, I enjoy searching for new and old music and studying all things esoteric, psychic, spirituality, metaphysics, divination and comparative religions. I’m an insatiable reader and collector and I volunteer in animal rescue and doggy daycare.
IF YOU WERE TO STAGE YOUR OWN FESTIVAL IN BELLO, AND COULD HAVE ANY THREE HEADLINE ACTS WHO WOULD THEY BE?
I’d have to “channel” my favourite bands (Linkin Park, Audioslave and INXS) but would be happy with Aerosmith, Imagine Dragons and Boy & Bear.
